Alarming

ARP Logo - Header

The alarms can be programmed in the Alarming program (highlighted blue below).  The first rungs are for each individual alarm needed.  The below example shows an alarm that is only monitored with the system active circuit is on.  It has a 5 second delay before it is active.  It stays latched in until the stop pushbutton is pressed (to make sure the operator has time to review which alarm was activated before it is reset).  All of this functionality is not needed for every alarm.  The programmer may remove the Inp_StartCircuitAcitve bit if the alarm needs to be monitored even if the system is off.  The TON_1 can be removed if the alarm needs to be active immediately, not delayed.  The bottom branch may be removed if the alarm can reset itself automatically without a system reset by the operator.

Then the rung below is used to display the alarm message on the PLC LCD Display for operator information and troubleshooting and to stop the system sequencer.
