Interactive CIP System Builder

Describe your CIP process. Get a preliminary control specification.

Answer in plain terms: what you clean, your circuits, your recipe stages, and the data you want recorded. You don’t need to know PLC or instrument part numbers. At the end you get a preliminary I/O count, candidate IFM and Grundfos product families, an RFQ readiness score, a list of missing information, and a one-click handoff to ARP’s RFQ Builder.

Preliminary engineering selection. Final design is subject to ARP, process, mechanical, and manufacturer review. The builder never prescribes chemicals or concentrations, makes a final pump selection, or certifies hygienic, regulatory, UL, or safety compliance.

Your entries stay in this browser tab only. Nothing is sent until you choose to continue to the RFQ Builder or contact ARP.

How the builder works

1. Process

Equipment, industry, product, residues, circuits, and simultaneous operation. Flow can be estimated from pipe size and a target velocity you supply, and it is labeled preliminary.

2. Recipes and equipment

Stage-by-stage recipes with endpoints, chemicals, tanks, pumps, dosing, sensors, and valves. Each answer feeds the I/O count.

3. Specification and quote

A preliminary spec, RFQ readiness, and handoff to the PLC sizing, enclosure, cost, and RFQ tools.

CIP builder questions, answered

How do you build a CIP recipe?

A CIP recipe is an ordered list of stages, such as pre-rinse, caustic wash, rinse, acid, final rinse, and sanitize. Each stage has a medium, temperature, time, flow, and endpoint.

Your chemical supplier and process team set concentrations and temperatures. The builder records them and turns them into control requirements.

How do you size a CIP supply flow?

Flow is cross-sectional area times velocity. The builder can do that math for a velocity you specify, and it labels the result preliminary.

Final flow and pump head come from a hydraulic review of the actual circuit, spray devices, and equipment.

What is CIP RFQ readiness?

It is the share of key design inputs you have provided, such as pipe size, volume, flow, head, endpoints, chemistry data, and remote-access needs.

Missing items are listed so you know what to gather. Nothing missing is filled in by guesswork.

Do I need to re-enter data in ARP’s other tools?

No for the RFQ Builder. The CIP configuration fills its empty fields automatically.

For PLC and enclosure sizing, the builder shows the I/O numbers to carry over.

Frequently asked questions

Is the builder output a final design?

Preliminary engineering selection. Final design is subject to ARP, process, mechanical, and manufacturer review.

Does the builder recommend cleaning chemicals?

No. It records the chemicals and concentrations you or your chemical supplier specify and flags when a chemical/process-specialist review is needed.

Can I save my CIP configuration?

Yes, for this browser session. You can go back to any step without losing entries, edit the final configuration, and download the specification as a text file.

How do I send drawings or an I/O list?

Continue to the RFQ Builder or request a quote, then send them with your request.

Talk to ARP about your CIP controls

ARP supplies the controls and automation package: the Allen-Bradley control panel, PLC/HMI programming, instrumentation, pumps and dosing as selected, data, dashboards, drawings, and FAT. In certain applications, ARP can also provide the pump skid. ARP integrates with process piping, tanks, and other mechanical equipment from you, your OEM, or your fabricator.

Qualifying standard configurations are quoted, designed, programmed, and shipped in 7–10 business days.

Have drawings, P&IDs, or I/O lists? Send them with your request.
